FĂGĂRAȘ ADVENTURE – A FAMILY-FRIENDLY ADVENTURE RACE IN AVRIG
Făgăraș Adventure is an outdoor adventure race that will take place in Avrig, Sibiu County, on October 12, 2024, along a route of approximately 20 kilometers.
Teams of four members, including at least one minor, will navigate the course on foot, by bicycle, scooter, or other non-motorized means (cars are not permitted). Participants will have 8 hours to reach 10 control points, each presenting a unique challenge.
Each checkpoint offers a special task designed to highlight the natural and cultural richness of the region, forging meaningful connections between participants and the surrounding environment.
Each year, the competition brings a fresh perspective, hosted by a different community at the foot of the Făgăraș Mountains, offering participants the chance to explore local traditions and landscapes unique to each location.
With a new route and original challenge concepts every year, Făgăraș Adventure offers a unique experience with each edition, promoting the natural and cultural diversity of every host community.
This dynamic and evolving format not only tests teams' physical endurance and knowledge, but also provides a platform for local communities to share their values and traditions, turning the event into a celebration of the cultural and natural heritage of the Făgăraș Mountains.
