This Erasmus+ partnership - between 5 environmental NGOs from Spain, Slovakia, Romania and Austria - is pleased to announce the successful completion of the DIGI ECONAFACUGAS project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. The primary goal of the project was to promote digitalization in rural tourism and develop sustainable practices in the management of natural and agricultural resources.

 

The project, conducted between 2023 and 2024, included two workshops held in Romania and Spain, with the participation of experts in nature conservation, agriculture, and tourism. The outcomes of these workshops were compiled into a practical manual, which provides a summary of existing digital tools and concrete examples of best practices in the field.

 

The best practices guide developed within this project aims to enhance knowledge about digitalization in rural tourism, thereby contributing to population retention in rural areas and sustainable management of agricultural, forestry, and livestock activities. Additionally, the manual includes a network of digital tool developers and successful initiatives that can serve as models for other regions.
