Foundation Conservation Carpathia Call for partners
Foundation Conservation Carpathia (FCC) registered in Sinca Noua, 67B, Brasov County, Romania, intends to apply to the EEA Grants Programme, RO02 – Biodiversity and ecosystem services, in partnership with interested organizations.
For that, FCC invites all interested organisations to send their intention documentation, as provided in Annex (or required from our contact person), in order to be selected through an internal analysis, scheduled for 06.11.2014. The documents of intention shall be submitted until 11am on 06.11.2014 to the email address: d.bucur@conservationcarpathia.org or to Str. Nicopole, 75A, Brasov, Romania.

ANNEX
PARTNER SELECTION DOCUMENTATION FOR A PROJECT PROPOSAL TO BE FINANCED BY EEA GRANTS THROUGH RO02 – BIODIVERSITY AND ECOSYSTEM SERVICES PROGRAMME
Activities to be included in the project proposal:
- To assess the socio-economic context and the ecosystem values and threats of the Fagaras Mountains Natura 2000 sites;
- To then assess and prioritise the enterprise opportunities within and relating to the Fagaras Mountains, which can support biodiversity and enhance ecosystem services;
- To develop business plans for most relevant conservation enterprises with clear linkages established between the operations of those enterprise and the identified biodiversity and ecosystem values;
- To identify solutions and recommendations for policy makers, which will support the development of conservation enterprises and related ecosystem services;
- To promote and support the development of similar conservation enterprise programmes in other protected areas of Romania;
- To demonstrate the financial and non-financial benefits to the identified stakeholders, related to the biodiversity and ecosystem services context of the project area;
- To increase public awareness over the role of biodiversity and ecosystem services and the role of conservation enterprises.
The potential partners shall provide the following documents:
- Letter of intent which includes:
- Organisation name;
- Brief description of the organisation (700 characters max.);
- Contact information;
- The resumes (CVs) of proposed experts, which has to demonstrate at least one of these relevant expertise: biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services, environment protection research, market analysis, financial analysis, capital structure analysis, architecture design, conservation enterprise development, communication and advertising.
Potential partners shall be selected after a thorough evaluation, conducted by a commission of the project promoter (FCC), starting at 12.00 hours, on 06.11.2014. The results will be published shortly.
